The Island Dhu West Bay swim takes place on the 29th August from Harbour Portrush with the Largest entry for years and is likely to see 50+ swimmers enter the West Bay. Portrush Raft Race attracted a large, happy crowd probably for event and the sun shone brightly for a change. Couconoutdoor had a stand and attracted much attention and interest.

The day out was spent moving from the beautiful and mysterious Dark Hedges featured in "The Game Of Thrones" to the equally beautiful Dunseverick Harbour still and misty. Coucon at the Ice Swimming World Championships
The Coucon was recently at Murmansk, Russia for the Ice Swimming World Championships. The event attracted the select few from around the world who were prepared to subject themselves to these torturous conditions in the Arctic Circle. Barry O'Connor and other Irish representatives took part in the inaugural Ice Swimming World Championship, with Barry commenting that his Coucon robe was paramount in his recovery, adding that it was must-have kit for anyone participating in extreme events such as Ice Swimming. It's strange how things come to you when you're exercising and free as a bird in the high blue sky. I was riding my bike on a clear spring day last week when the mission statement for Coucon Outdoor came to me. The Coucon represents that feeling of reward after subjecting yourself to the extremes of any outdoor pursuit, from camping to caving, surfing to cycling, and the sense of satisfaction when it's all over

Santa Splash 2014 East Strand Portrush
250 Brave scantily clad Christmas revellers entered the cold water of East strand Portrush on Sunday the 21st of December to raise funds for The Marie Currie Charity.The water temperature was 7/8 degrees but bathers were soon warmed up by the warm food and drink provided by 55 degrees restaurant.
